ANDRÉ VALLERAND - PRESIDENT

An economist by training, Mr. Vallerand was a member of the National Assembly of Quebec from 1985 to 1994. During this period, he was in charge of many ministries, serving as Minister of Tourism (from 1989 to 1994) and heading the Department of Supply and Services.
He was also the Minister responsible for international affairs, the Minister responsible for small- and medium-sized businesses and member of the Standing Ministerial Committee on Economic Development and the Standing Ministerial Committee on Greater Montréal.
PROF. DR. FRANÇOIS BÉDARD - DIRECTOR GENERAL

For several years now, Mr. François Bédard has held the position of Vice President of the Committee of Affiliate Members and of the Education Council of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
A professor in the Department of Urban and Tourism Studies at the École des sciences de la gestion, Université du Québec à Montréal (ESG UQAM), he directs the Centre international de formation et de la recherche en tourisme (CIFORT) at UQAM.
Holding a doctorate in Management Sciences from the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and an MBA from HEC Montréal, François Bédard possesses over thirty years' experience in tourism.
